David Peche is an Artist, Illustrator, and Designer from San Antonio Texas. He has spent the past 25 years working in the fields of Art and Design from Technical and Medical Illustration to Graphic Artist to CAD Designer to owning his own Graphics Studio to running a local Artist group and hosting community events. The nature of David’s work varies but it always involves illustration, which he believes to be the foundation of art. With his illustrations, he uses the same design concept to create multiple works of art within different art medias, which gives his artwork its own unique style and quality.

David was born in San Antonio, Texas to his parents David Peche Sr. and Gloria Soriano. David has been surrounded by art and design his entire life. David’s Father was a Professional Commercial Artist who owned his own graphics and art studio in the 70’s and 80’s. David was immersed in art and given the run of his father’s studio at a very young age, he created his first silkscreen design at the age of 8 and worked throughout his middle school years creating artwork for his fellow students. After his standard schooling ended, he attended San Antonio College where he studied for a major in Fine Art. After a few semesters of art school, he made the decision to serve his country and joined the U.S. Army.

David served 4 years in the Army’s military police corps. In 1994-1995 he was deployed with the 10th Mountain Division to Port Au Prince, Haiti on a peacekeeping mission during “Operation Uphold Democracy”. After he was honorably discharged from military service, he went back to school this time focusing on Graphic Art and Illustration. He became an A+ certified expert utilizing the Graphics industry’s most powerful and intensive programs. David began working in many different fields of art and design. He was Senior Graphic Artist for a nationwide Sign and Graphics company, CAD and Industrial Illustrator for a major plastics fabrication company, Medical Illustrator at BAMC for the US Army during the Iraq war (civilian contractor), Lead Illustrator on the B-1 Bomber retrofit program USAF (civilian contractor), Technical Illustrator on the USAF A-10 Thunderbolt program Southwest Research Institute (civilian contractor), Director and Creator of the “Art at the Jalapeno” arts organization to owning his own graphic art and sign studio, SignWorks.

Now David is an Independent and full-time artist and illustrator at dj-illustrator studios. David has exhibited artwork at The Museo Alameda (the first formal Smithsonian affiliate outside of Washington D.C.), The Blue Star Arts Complex, The Art Center of Corpus Christi, High Wire Contemporary Art Gallery and the Freight Gallery just to name a few. Several of his pieces hang in private homes, galleries and businesses to this day. David and his wife are currently working on his website to open up his dj-illustrator studios online store, where he will sell posters, shirts, cups, paintings and many more items.
